My Herd

Jackie O (Jo)

Jackie O (Jo) is a 2015 KWPN mare who is responsible for the beginning of my shift in methodologies. My first “personal” horse who is the reason I started to seek other techniques, training styles, and solutions to problems. She is my “soul” horse and my guiding star.

Chanel

My second herd member is a petite red German 2016 warmblood that I planned to flip and sell as an Eventer. She had other plans for me, teaching me some of my greatest lessons I’ve had with horses. She is who is responsible for introducing Positive reinforcement into my life. A tool I use with so many client’s horses now. She is my “heart” horse, a fire to reckoned with and held closely for enlightenment.

Abril

The next to join my herd was a beautiful 2018 Carter Mustang from Northern California, named Abril. She was given to me half feral, a gentle horse but scared and very skeptical of humans. Abril has taught me patience and how easy training can be when there is trust between you and the horse.

Skye

The most recent addition is Skye, a 2022 KWPN filly (Zhivago X Sir Gregory). She is a spicy little girl who is teaching me there is no such thing as a “blank canvas”. Right now she is growing up in my herd and learning the basics. Can’t wait for the lessons I will learn from her and the places we’ll go!

Foxfire

Foxfire (now deceased) was a Morgan X Arabian gelding. He used to take me around endurance rides in Northern California when I was 12. He let me feel what it was like to have a horse of my own and I was able to pay him back by taking care of him in his later years. He enjoyed his retirement hanging with my ladies and eating mashes.
